Manufactured by skilled craftsmen, all of our Bi-fold doors are made to measure for a perfect fit. All the hardwood is carefully selected and close attention is paid to quality control throughout the manufacturing process.

Modern finishes ensure very little maintenance is needed, and your Bi-fold doors will serve you for many years to come. The finishes come in a wide range of wood or paint colours.

Timber is natural, organic and renewable, and has numerous environmental advantages over competing materials. Converting timber into a usable building material takes far less energy, and therefore generates less carbon dioxide than virtually any other alternative including aluminium, steel, concrete and UPVC.

Once installed, wood is an extremely effective insulating material with a very high energy efficiency, indeed, timber-framed houses are widely recognised as being the top performers in energy efficiency.

All doors are supplied with one coat of preservative, either primer for painting or micro porus preservative; a second coat needs to be applied by the owner once installed.

• Sovereign state that the SX70 has a typical service life of 5 years.
• Dulux state that their Weathershield Aquatech protects up to 6 years.

It would depend on what was used as the final coat of preservative, as different manufactures vary, but the average seems around 5 years.

Door Height Guide

As a general rule Bi-fold Door heights would normally be expected to be a minimum of 2070 - 2100 to allow for trickle vents in the head extension (if required).
